Kayaba Industry Co., Ltd, also known as KYB Corporation, is one of the leaders in the hydraulic equipment industry, renowned for its Japanese precision and quality.

The company was founded on the basis of the Kayaba Research Center in 1919 by Japanese inventor and engineer Shiro Kayaba in Tokyo, Japan. Shiro specialized in the research and development of shock absorbers and hydraulic equipment. This research center was engaged in the implementation of innovative ideas in the industrial and transportation sectors, as well as hydraulics.

In 1935, the company was transformed into a manufacturing company, Kayaba Manufacturing Co., Ltd, which implemented the ideas of the research center directly at the production site. This became the basis of Kayaba's production facilities.

During World War II, the company manufactured hydraulic systems for military equipment and aircraft. 

In the post-war years, Kayaba began manufacturing railroad vehicles, shock absorbers, and motorcycles, and was completely reoriented to the peaceful needs of Japanese consumers. In the 50s, Kayaba was already the main supplier of hydraulics to the Japanese industry

Already in the 60s, the company became widely known for its quality products in the field of hydraulic equipment, and actively began to expand into international markets. At the same time, parallel developments and modernization of existing hydraulic solutions were underway, and after changing its name to KYB Corporation in 1985, the company became one of the world's largest suppliers of dampers for passenger cars and special equipment. 

The company cooperated with such well-known brands as Nissan, Toyota, etc.

Now KYB Corporation manufactures hydraulic cylinders for industrial equipment, hydraulic motors and pumps for construction machinery.
