Sauer-Danfoss

Sauer-Danfoss is a well-known Danish company, part of the Danfoss Group, which was established in 1933 in Nordborg and was initially focused on the production of technical solutions for heating technology.

Due to the rapid development, the company expanded its capabilities and began developing new technologies, in particular in hydraulics.

In the 50s, the first hydraulic motors and hydraulic pumps were manufactured, and the company actively invested in its development, and in 1987, Sauer-Sundstrand was merged with Danfoss. Under the new brand, Sauer-Danfoss is actively developing technologies for the production of hydraulic motors, pumps and drive systems.

There were also developments for the automation of machinery, both construction and agricultural.

Over time, Sauer-Danfoss became one of the leading manufacturers of hydraulic systems and became known in the international market, particularly in Europe, North America and Asia.

In the 2000s, the name was changed to Danfoss Power Solutions. This made it possible to separate the production of hydraulics from other areas of Danfoss
Today, Danfoss Power Solutions is a world-renowned company and a leader in the global market for hydraulic motors and hydraulic pumps, operating in more than 100 countries.

Interesting facts: in 1933, the founder of Danfoss, Mads Clausen, invented the first thermostatic valve that allowed to regulate the temperature in heating systems.

The company is actively developing products for smart cities, including innovative solutions for transportation, water supply and cooling systems.
